The Clare Conversion Opening
The Clare responded to market demand for additional skilled nursing beds by converting two floors of the downtown Chicago high-rise CCRC. The 12th floor became licensed for skilled nursing and the memory care that was previously on the floor moved up to the 13th floor, which had been serving assisted living. ARCH assisted in selecting an experienced local architect and managed the design process from conceptual design through construction then assisting in selecting a highly qualified contractor.

LeadingAge Annual Meeting in Nashville
Frank Muraca presented on a panel at the LeadingAge Annual Meeting held in Nashville, Tennessee. The panel discussion, titled Growth Through Governance, provided insight on how to create a framework for a more responsive and effective governing structure, reshape a board to effectively assess the risks and rewards of growth strategies and how to advance the strategic engagement of a board in strategic planning. The annual meeting also provided an opportunity to catch up with fellow colleagues including Jeff Lundeen, President of Covenant Solutions, pictured below with Frank Muraca.

The Springs Celebrates Grand Opening
The Springs at Monarch Landing, a new HealthCare center, rounds out the continuum of care on the existing Naperville, Illinois campus. More than 100 guests and 300 residents attended the celebration. Click here for more information on the Grand Opening Celebration.

Spring 2014 Design Showcase
Two of ARCH’s clients were featured in the Spring 2014 Design Showcase Issue of the Environments for Aging Magazine. Sedgebrook, a CCRC in Lincolnshire, IL, is featured in the remodel & renovation section for work completed in the main clubhouse. Bulgarian Ambassador Visits Winchester
The Bulgarian ambassador to the U.S. visited The Village at Orchard Ridge where she was amazed with the large size of the community. Following a presentation, she met residents and was given a tour of the new CCRC. Click here for more information on the ambassador’s visit.

The Manor at Hearthstone Communities Renovation
Hearthstone Communities in Woodstock, Illinois will undergo extensive renovations to various components of The Manor at Hearthstone Communities. The project includes renovations to the rehabilitation unit, long-term care unit, public spaces and resident rooms, as well as the addition of a new entrance and vestibule for the community. ARCH helped determine the best project delivery process and established the scope of work. Click here for more information on the renovation project.

Cromwell’s New Event Center
ARCH served as Owner’s Representative on a building addition at the Covenant Village of Cromwell campus. The new building includes a multi-purpose room, servicing kitchen and common areas designed for large events. Click here to read the full article.

TVOR Grand Opening Celebration
The Village at Orchard Ridge welcomed 700 guests to the CCRC’s Grand Opening Celebration. This new Winchester, Virginia campus contains independent housing apartments, college style dwellings and common areas. Click here for more information on the Grand Opening Celebration.

Monarch Landing Groundbreaking Ceremony
Monarch Landing hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for their new Health Center. The Mayors of Naperville and Warrenville, Illinois attended the event, showing their ongoing support for the project. The Health Center will contain skilled nursing and assisted living/memory support units, rounding out the continuum of care on campus. Additional amenities include a physical therapy suite, non-denominational church, spa/beauty salon and activity/conference rooms. ARCH serves as the development consultant for Senior Care Development, the Owner of Monarch Landing.
